This is not your typical green smoothie recipe. Edamame adds even more protein to this Vega One smoothie, while ginger kicks the heat up a notch with additional spicy flavor. If you like your shake thicker, reduce the water to 1 cup.
Ingredients Serves 1
½ cup frozen, shelled edamame
1 cup spinach
1 ½ cups water
1 cup ice
1 scoop Vega One Natural flavor or Vanilla protein powder
1 inch piece of ginger, peeled
1 lime, juiced
Place the edamame, spinach, water, ice, protein powder, ginger, and lime juice in a blender and process until smooth. Serve immediately.
